Action in the Hennepin County District Court brought by Douglas M. Head, attorney general of the State of Minnesota, for a
declaratory judgment declaring null and void certain provisions of two resolutions of defendant Special School District No.
1 and to enjoin said defendant and defendant Minneapolis Federation of Teachers, Local No. 59, from acting pursuant to said
provisions. Keith W. Davidson, Katherine V. Howard, Harvey A. Ring, and Betty K. Robb were permitted to intervene as plaintiffs
on behalf of themselves and other taxpayers. On the basis of a stipulation of facts, the court, Thomas Tallakson, Judge, ordered
judgment in favor of plaintiffs, and defendant school board and defendant union each appealed from the order and from the
